How To: Get Animated Boot Logos For The iOS 5 Firmware [Animate Fix For iOS 4.x.x/5.0.x Cydia Tweak]

When Jailbreaking was in its early stages some of the popular things to do were apply custom boot logos to your iPhone or iPod Touch. If you have been wanting to get custom boot logos on your iOS device running the iOS 5.0 or iOS 5.0.1 firmware. Then you will be glad to know that hacker and developer iH8Sn0w has released a Cydia tweak dubbed Animate Fix. The Animate Fix Cydia tweak (the full name of the tweak being animate fix for iOS 4.x.x/5.0.x) will allow you to apply animated or static boot logos to your Jailbroken iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad running any firmware from iOS 4 to iOS 5.

Thus, in this how to guide from iJailbreak.com you will learn how to apply custom boot logos to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad using the Animate Fix Cydia tweak.
Note: It has been reported that this Cydia tweak may conflict with the iPad 1G/2G (use at your own risk).

Step 4) – With Animate Fix now installed on your iOS device you will need to go into the Sections Tab followed by the Addons (BootLogo) section. When you are inside this section you can browse through the massive list of boot logos and install the ones you would like to test out (one of my personal favourites is the ArcReactor Boot Logo).
Step 5) – After you have installed some boot logos you will need to close Cydia, go into the Settings.app and then into the new BootLogo tab. It is in this area that you will select the boot logo you wish to use (under the Extras section).
Step 6) - When you have selected a boot logo you can press the Home button and then restart your iOS device to try it out.
Congratulations! You have just applied a custom boot logo to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. For more how to guides like the on your just followed please go to iJailbreak’s How To Section. Additionally, please leave any questions or thoughts about this tutorial in the comments section below…

Confidential iPhone And iPad Prototypes Have Been Leaked [IMAGES]

Earlier we told you that a massive Samsung versus Apple case will be happening on Monday. Samsung has already figured out how they are going to play their cards during this trail, as somehow they managed to get their hands on an early iPhone prototype that could hint Apple actually stole the iPhone’s design from Sony. Now The Verge has leaked some more confidential iPhone and iPad prototypes dating back to 2006.
…court documents have revealed an assortment of different looks that were considered for Apple’s various iOS products — including several iPad designs featuring kickstands. Multiple versions of both the iPhone and the iPad are featured, and while we’ve seen some of these before, many of the designs are being revealed for the first time. Of particular note are multiple iterations of the iPad featuring different types of kickstands, what appears to be a 16:9 model with wide handles on either side, and an eight-sided iPhone with diagonal corners.
It is no question that a company like Apple strives for perfection with all of their products. And thus it does not come as a surprise that there were many prototypes of both the iPhone and iPad before they were officially released to the public. Though some of these prototypes are downright ugly, it shows us just how difficult the process of finalizing a new and innovative product is.

After seeing some of these prototypes I am sure you noticed how some of them resemble other products on the market today and some of them probably left you lost for words. I think my favourite of all of these prototypes is the last one, a lot of people used to complain about older phones being bricks, but I don’t think the expression has ever been so well fitting (you could probably use the prototype as a blunt weapon).
There is a lot more prototypes available to see if you head on over to the actual galleries. What prototype was your favourite? Aren’t you glad Apple refined their designs for the iPhone and iPad? Share your responses and further thoughts in the comments section.

i-tena Signal Booster for 4g iphone

We tested out the new iphone signal booster from i-tena.com for the 4g iphone reception issues. As you will see in the video we were in the middle of the country with no iphone reception. We applied the i-tena and got up to 4 bars, very impressed with the product and the company even give you a 30 day refund if not happy . better then putting on those silly at&t bumpers around my phone . Yuck!

‘HD’ Is The Most Common Word Used In iOS App Titles, Check Out The Full List Now

what makes an iOS user buy an app from the App Store? Well, it’s mostly the title, price and reviews. The title of an app plays a very important role in its sales, marketing, downloads etc. and thus, the developers have to name their app wisely. There are over 650,000 apps currently available in the iOS App Store and it’s really difficult to get your app noticed unless Apple gives you a little push. Developers usually include certain terms after the title, such as Free, Lite or HD, to get their app noticed.
Appsfire decided to find out which of those terms are most commonly used by iOS app developers. This would also show what is the most searched term in the App Store. So here’s the top 25 most commonly used terms in the App Store along with how many times they’ve been used.
  1. HD – 27777
  2. Lite – 21690
  3. Free – 18511
  4. iPad – 11313
  5. Pro – 9024
  6. Guide – 8361
  7. Mobile – 7695
  8. App – 6142
  9. iPhone – 5441
  10. Game – 5377
  11. Travel – 4851
  12. Radio – 4633
  13. World – 4504
  14. Map – 4351
  15. Dictionary – 4220
  16. Edition – 4198
  17. Calculator – 4164
  18. Kids – 3852
  19. English – 3680
  20. News – 3611
  21. Book – 3254
  22. Magazine – 3009
  23. Photo – 2957
  24. Puzzle – 2835
  25. Music – 2764
It is interesting to see that the term ‘HD’ is used more than ‘Free’. Also, according to the report, app developers use ‘Free’ in their app title even if the app is a paid app. Only 23 percent of App Store apps are universal, the rest are all device specific, either iPhone or iPad, and that’s also a term that lot of developers use. What term in a title attracts you the most? Share your responses below.
