How to Activate MMS on Dialog Mobile

There are number of ways to activate MMS (multimedia messaging service) on your Dialog mobile. When you insert your SIM card to a new mobile phone Dialog automatically detects your mobile phone modal and sends you configuration settings. If not when you are about to receive a new MMS, first Dialog automatically activates MMS on your mobile package and then Dialog sends configuration settings automatically before you receive the MMS.
If any of the above procedures are not successfully completed then you can manually request MMS settings from Dialog. There are two ways of doing this.
  1. Type MMS and send to 700.
  2. Call #107# and access Dialog services menu. Select Messaging & Settings, select Settings, select All Settings or MMS Settings.
Most popular and branded mobile phone modals are capable of configuring MMS settings via any of the above steps. If you are still unable to setup MMS on your mobile using any of the above described method then you have to setup it manually.

Dialog GPRS Proxy Port Number

Unlike other local networks Dialog is using two different proxy ports to provide the GPRS service. In our Dialog GPRS settings page we have provided 8080 as the correct proxy port number. But this setting might not work properly on almost all mobile types, specially in certain Nokia mobile phone modals. Popular phone brands such as Sony Ericsson or Samsung are always recommended to be configured with 8080 port number. If you are still in trouble accessing internet with port 8080 then use proxy port number 9201. If your mobile phone is Nokia it is recommended using 9201 instead of using 8080.

Use http://192.168.050.165 as the message sever address. Use wapmms as the access point so that you will not be charged for the downloaded or uploaded content for MMS.
