iOS 7 Quick Settings concept for the iPhone 5

iOS 7 concept revised
Remember the iOS concept video we saw earlier this week from André Luis Moreira? It turns out that Moreira had just posted an updated version of the concept on The Verge’s forums. The updated concept is similar to what we’ve already seen, but features essential refinements to the original design, in addition to being resized to fit the iPhone 5‘s 4-inch screen.
Read on to see what’s new, and what has changed in Moreira’s new concept video…
The first thing you’ll notice is the SBSettings-like Quick Settings page now features a new edit mode, instead of the menu we saw earlier. You can access this edit mode by pulling the Quick Settings pane all the way up and exposing a hidden layer of animated gears. From here you can access more features from Settings, and even choose which sliders you want to regularly be able to access from Quick Settings. The new edit mode is flashy, but it’s also functional.

To edit the Quick Settings list, pull down until you see the gears.
Moreira also addressed one of the potential problems you might have noticed with the old concept: in the initial version, it wasn’t possible to enter Quick Settings from within an app, you’d be shuttled off to the app-specific Dynamic Settings instead. Now you can shake your iPhone at any time and access Quick Settings, even while editing text. I’m not sure if shake gestures are the best way to solve the problem, but it gets the job done.

The concept now supports shaking for Quick Settings instead of entering an app’s Dynamic Settings pane.
One final note: It occurs to me that the previously mentioned ‘passcode off’ lock wouldn’t be a foolproof method for preventing theft, considering it’s always possible to put an iPhone into an idle DFU mode. While the recovery mode would thwart this security measure, as a legitimate user, you wouldn’t want to be barred from recovering an unresponsive phone.
Would you like to see Moreira’s iOS 7 concept adopted by Apple or made into a tweak? Share your thoughts on what you would you keep and what would you change in the comments section.

IOS 6 UNTETHERED JAILBREAK IPHONE 4S. DONE. ONE MOMENT.

IOS 6.1

IOS 6 UNTETHERED JAILBREAK IPHONE 4S: “The IOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak Dream Team (Creators of IOS 6 UNTETHERED JAILBREAK) has launched a easy to use and brand new version of the Jailbreak IOS 6.0.1 Untethered Tool Redsn0w for the iPhone 5, 4S, 4 with iOS 6.0.1 and 3Gs and the iPad 3/2, it is a final version and it uses the same DFU IOS 6 Jailbreak Untethered tool that has bee used in previous versions of Redsn0w”

@Pog2g:

Q: Alors, le untethered ça avance ? J’arrive pas a avoir d’info sûres.. ( So the untethered it going? I can not have a reliable info ..)
Pod2g: oui, ça avance, mais toujours pas de date de sortie. A mon avis ce sera pour 6.1… chut ;) (yes, it progresses, but still no release date. In my opinion it will be for 6.1 … shhh;))
@planetbeing
“I think the best thing is actually hearing that work is going on behind the scenes. Too often I think many of the JB Devs believe that we want detailed status updates, but I know for me that isn’t the case at all. Even just something that states ‘Hey we’re still working over here. Still exploring.’”
Now that rumors have emerged that the iOS 6.1 GM or goldenmaster will soon be released to developers, the hope is, an iOS 6, 6.0.1, 6.0.2 or 6.1 untethered jailbreak for iPhone 5 and other non-jailbroken devices won’t be too much further away.
In a recent tweet, iOS hacker @MuscleNerd, @Planetbeing and @Pod2g warned users saying that those still waiting for an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.
It seems @planetbeing must have heard the thankfulness in the text of this jailbreak follower, as since this time, we have seen him become quite active on Twitter, posting tidbits of information about his work with the iOS 6 kernel hacking, including both his frustrations and successes.

@planetbeing
“Yeah, I’m not really sure what all the doom and gloom is about. The fact is, I have an untethered iOS 6.0.2 JB running on my iPhone 5 right now. The reasons it’s not released are because …
1.) releasing it would burn an exploit we want to save for ourselves so we can always get in to look at new firmware and help JB in the future,
2.) iOS 6.1 is coming very soon and will likely break a small part of it anyway, there’s no point in sacrificing the many bugs it won’t break.
Anyway, where there are 4+ bugs (that it took to get this to work), there’s gotta be one or two more so while jailbreaking is getting harder, reports of its death are highly exaggerated.
This is not stuff I want to say over Twitter with 140 characters because I’m afraid of starting some sort of riot, but I like the smaller …/jailbreak community more. ;)

Pod2g (iPhone Dream Team)
I’m very confident about the next 6 months. I honestly believe that iOS 6 will be jailbroken and that developers will keep coming up with more quality apps. Discussions about future tweaks during JailbreakCon have opened new doors. Creativity won’t stop.
Regarding future iOS versions, I don’t really know what to think. I believe Apple will make it harder and harder to find and develop jailbreaks in a timely manner.
My message to Apple is the following: why not stop the fight and let users install unsigned applications, just like it is possible on OS X? It could be done the right way to let people install tweaks while making sure piracy is limited.

iPhone 5S and Cheaper iPhone Will Be introduced By Apple in June

iPhone 5S and Cheaper iPhone Will Be introduced By Apple in June - It has been more than four months when Apple unveiled its most awaited iPhone 5 with Improved speed, lighter and thinner design. Just like earlier generations, iPhone 5 was also a big hit and sold like hot cakes, but we have seen some decline in the sales of iPhone 5. There might be several reasons behind this decline, one of them is the expected release of next generation iPhone in the mid of this year.

The premium quality glass and metal makes iPhone another hit product from Apple, but we are hearing some rumors about the release of a cheaper iPhone 5s with plastic body. According to a new report from business insider, Apple will release two iPhones instead of one. One will be of higher quality, larger display and improved speed while the other iPhone will have slow speed and less costly iPhone 5.
Here’s what they posted about the next generation iPhones;
Jefferies analyst Peter Misek said in a note to investors this week that two future iPhone prototypes are currentlytesting. At least one of these is said to be a so-called “iPhone 5S,” while the other could be Apple’s rumored low-cost iPhone.
Misek previously predicted in December that Apple will launch an incremental upgrade to the iPhone 5 this summer. He also believes the company’s next-generation iPhone, referred to as an “iPhone 6,” will sport a larger 4.8-inch display.
In another report, we saw that Apple has decreased the iPhone 5 components orders and one of the main reason behind this news is that Apple is planning to launch two new iPhones by the mid of this year.
The cheaper or smaller iPhone will be just like the iPad mini, it will have LTE, A5 Chip or may be the retina display just like the iPhone 4 and 4S. One thing is sure that Apple will cut of the iPhone 4 but what will happen with iPhone 4S by the introduction of this new Cheaper iPhone? This is one of the very basic question which intrigues the minds of many tech enthusiasts, but we think that just like the iPad 3, Apple will ditch the iPhone 4S as well. What do you think about this cheaper iPhone? Let us know in the comments section below.
