Next Generation iPod Nano To Get Home Button, iTunes Integration & Taller: Rumour

When Apple launched the iPod it changed the music industry, bringing more people to Apple’s loyal user base. Now the once forgotten iPod nano (mainly due to iPhone and iPod touch) is about to get a major redesign from the Cupertino headquarters.

According to a new report from the popular Japanese blog Macotakara, Apple is going to completely revamp the iPod nano which recently has been getting quite a lot of attention.
The new report suggests citing reliable sources that Apple’s next generation iPod nano will get a home button, something that is strange but quite possible as it also notes that iPod nano will be taller (elongated) making a home button possible.
The report also notes that the next generation iPod nano will now feature iTunes integration. If iTunes integration for iPod nano does come out to be true this could be big. Giving users the ability to connect to iTunes for iPod nano could increase the sales of the little device from Apple.
Although completely revamping the iPod nano with a home button, iTunes integration and changing the shape completely seems a bit far-fetched, we should not that Macotakara has a good history of its rumours turning out to be true.

The current iPod nano as you can see from the picture above will get a completely new redesign from Apple fall of this year if the rumour is to be believed.
What do you think about the next generation iPod nano from Apple? Will be buying one when there are already so many music applications out there on the iPhone? Comment below to let us know.
